The Caraval Trilogy — Series Review

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Caraval trilogy was truly an unforgettable reading experience. I loved all three books, but Caraval will always be my favorite. There was something so special about the first book that the other two couldn’t quite replace, even though I absolutely loved where the trilogy went.

The Trilogy

Out of the three books, Caraval was my favorite. The first book focused more on Scarlett and Julian, while Legendary and Finale focused more on Tella and Dante. I loved getting to see a different side of the story through Tella, but I still preferred Scarlett and Julian.

And if I had to choose between the two brothers, I would pick Julian 100 percent. His vibe compared to Dante’s just hits differently.

The World

The world became even more interesting as the trilogy continued. As the Fates were released from the Deck of Destiny, the magic and chaos grew, and Caraval wasn’t just a game anymore. Suddenly, anything felt possible.

I really loved seeing how the history of this world slowly became its future. The bigger the story became, the more fascinating the world felt.

The Characters

The characters were a huge part of what made the trilogy so enjoyable. I especially loved Scarlett, Julian, Tella, and Dante, and I really enjoyed seeing their stories develop throughout the three books.

Jacks also became a huge part of the story, and I absolutely loved having him there. His presence made everything even more interesting and added another layer to the story.

The Story

I absolutely adored the plot of the entire trilogy. I loved the mystery of Caraval, but the bigger story that developed throughout the trilogy was just insane.

There were so many twists, secrets, and unexpected moments that I never really knew where the story was going. It kept growing into something much bigger than I expected from the first book.

This trilogy also made Stephanie Garber my favorite author ever. Her imagination and the worlds she creates are just incredible.

The Ending

The ending of Finale was perfect. It was also incredibly surprising and unexpected. I genuinely did not think that was going to happen to the Fallen Star.

When I finished the trilogy, I felt so many different emotions. I was happy because I had just finished such an epic tale, but I was also sad because I knew I probably wouldn’t read another book quite like the Caraval trilogy.

Final Rating

Overall, I give the Caraval trilogy 5 out of 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This trilogy deserves every one of those stars and so much more. It was magical, unpredictable, chaotic, and completely unforgettable. If you haven’t read all three books yet, you absolutely should!
